Melissa Sproveri, CASA Director

Melissa received her degree from The Boyd School in Pittsburgh. She also received an Office Technology certificate from the University of Maryland in Incirlik, Turkey. As a Warren County native, Melissa returned to the area in 2004. Most recently, she has been working for the Warren County School District, with Special Education students and the 21st Century after school program, as a Social Emotional Learning Counselor. In addition to her work, she is currently the VP of the Youngsville Eagle Instrumental Boosters and a coach in the district for 12 years.

Before WCSD, she served as a Community Health Educator for Adagio Health. She provided Evidence-Based Programming in 8 counties on topics such as sexual health, life skills, and drug awareness. In addition to her work at Adagio Health, she provided services as a Tobacco Cessation Provider through the Northwest Tobacco Control Program. She resides in Youngsville with her family. Her 2 children, Casey and Dominic both attend YMHS. Her daughter Casey is an active member of Molly Dies' Dance Express Company. Her son Dominic is an active member of the Youngsville Eagle Marching Band and YMS track team.

Dennis Johnson, Chair

President: Hem-View Consultants


A retired sport coach and educator, he spent 20 years in the WCSD as a physical education teacher-coach and 16 years as sport management professor and cross country coach at Wingate University (NC).  He currently is a consultant with the National Wrestling Coaches Association facilitating CEO Leadership Academies for high school and college coaches.  He earned a doctoral degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Susan G. Swab, Co-Chair


Sue Swab is a retired registered nurse from Warren State Hospital. She has Bachelor's and Master’s degree in health services administration. Sue has served on the board of the American Cancer Society and currently is president of the League of Women Voters of Warren County. She has volunteered for Area Agency on Aging for several years, along with other various agencies. CASA is very import to her - she believes in its mission and work.


Melissa Johnson, Treasurer

Contract Specialist for the US Department of Agriculture-Forest Service


Originally from Marienville, PA she holds a BS from Clarion University and an MBA from Gannon University. She is married to Dennis Johnson and the mother of two children.

Mark Krumm, Secretary

Mark Krumm retired from Superior Tire & Rubber Corp as a Business Systems Administrator. Mark attended Jamestown Community College and Slippery Rock State College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education. Mark’s initial employment was with the Warren County School District as a substitute teacher along with coaching four separate sports. A return to school paved the way for Mark to be hired as the Data Processing Manager by Superior Tire. While Mark has remained single to date, he has remained interested in sports and has been a constant part of his sisters and their family’s lives. We hope that his life time experiences
will benefit CASA’s goal to “Speak Up for a Child” when needed.
